Mario Cantone gets the last word as Anthony Scaramucci on 'The President Show'

Parting is such sweet sorrow, especially when you just want to serve your president and that meangeneral insists on showing you the door.

Mario Cantone, who was leading the race to play White House communications director Anthony Scarmucci on Saturday Night Liveuntil his ouster, returned to Comedy Central’s The President Show on Thursday to say goodbye to Donald Trump, complete with a kiss that made a horrified Mike Pence hide his eyes.

Trying to look on the bright side, he noted, “At least now I can go see my wife and newborn son” before collapsing into hysterical fits of laughter. “Nah, I’m not gonna do that!”

But soon the voice of new White House Chief of Staff John Kelly (who sounds like an adult in Peanuts cartoons) put an end to the fun. As a giant cartoon hand removed him from the Oval Office, Scaramucci yelled his final words to those gathered in the room: “I’ll miss you, Mr. President! I’ll miss you, Christian man!”

Turning to Steve Bannon, Scaramucci had just gotten out the words “I’ll miss you most of all” when he caught the advisor hunched over the Resolute desk.

“Look, he’s trying to do it!” Scaramucci hollered. I told you!”
