NASHVILLE — Singer and actress Reba McEntire’s former lakefront estate known as Starstruck Farm has been sold for $5 million with 15 new homes being proposed on a portion of the property.
McEntire originally sought $7.9 million for the 83-acre property on Cherokee Dock Road in Lebanon off State Route 109 near the Sumner County line and just south of the Cumberland River.
The farm with frontage on Old Hickory Lake includes a 12,816-square-foot home with seven bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half baths, according to the listing by Laura Baugh of Worth Properties.
There’s also an eight-car garage, a pool, tennis court, a pool and guest house, a five-stall barn and an equestrian facility with 16 stalls, indoor and outdoor arenas and 12 fenced paddocks.
The listing came after McEntire and her ex-husband/manager, Narvel Blackstock, split up in December.
Paul H. Burch purchased the property, which was broken up into parcels, according to the Wilson County Assessor of Property’s office.
Burch closed on the estate in July, according to property records. There are no parcels remaining for sale, Assessor of Property Stephen Goodall said.
A final plat for the proposed homes is expected to go before Wilson County’s planning commission Aug. 18, according to the county’s planning department.
The development is named Cherokee Meadows, and is on approximately 17 acres, with lot sizes that range from just under an acre to 1.82 acres, Wilson County Planning Director Tom Brashear said.
The 15 lots proposed are on vacant land within the estate, the project’s surveyor Paul Crockett said.
Additional phases are possible, but Crockett was not aware of specific intent for other parts of the property.
Baugh said the estate “showed quite a bit” to potential buyers.
Last summer, McEntire sold her Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion for $22.25 million.
In addition to having a successful music career, McEntire’s acting career has included playing the lead character on television sitcoms Reba and Malibu Country.
