TV tonight: 'Teen Choice Awards,' 'Claws' finale

The teens have spoken and the surfboards are about to be awarded. The annual youth-centric award show has teens voting on their favorites from movies, TV, music and more. This year’s nominations include Selena Gomez, Wonder Woman and The Fosters.  Louis Tomlinson, Shawn Mendes and Kumail Nanjiani will be appearing, and Miley Cyrus will be on hand to accept the “Ultimate Choice” award.

The gritty and gleeful crime drama closes out its first season in an episode that finds Desna (Niecy Nash) on the run from Roller (Jack Kesy), while Dean (Harold Perrineau), Polly (Carrie Preston) and Virginia (Karrueche Tran) continue to look for her. Jennifer (Jenn Lyon) gets in even more deeply with Hank (Hunter Burke), unaware of how dangerous that could be. For fans who’ve become attached to Desna and her crew, the drama returns for a second season in 2018.

The stand-up comedy period piece is also completing its set tonight, a little more quietly. in the finale, Goldie (Melissa Leo) forces Cassie (Ari Graynor) to pick a side while Adam (RJ Cyler) performs an incredible set that accidentally upstages Ralph (Erik Griffin).
