TV tonight: Finales for 'Network Stars,' 'Gong Show,' 'Guest Book'

Battle of the Network Stars/The Gong Show

Two summer game shows sign off tonight. First up is Battle, which concludes with back-to-back episodes, the first pitting TV families (Danny Bonaduce, Barry Williams, Beverley Mitchell, Willie Aames and Charlene Tilton) against TV doctors (Thomas Calabro, Taye Diggs, Rachelle Lefevre, Deidre Hall and Benjamin Hollingsworth). The second episode features “TV troublemakers” (Vivica A. Fox, Paul Johansson, John Barrowman, Julie Benz and Catherine Bach) against TV lifeguards (David Chokachi, Brande Roderick, Parker Stevenson, Nicole Eggert and Gena Lee Nolin). In The Gong Show‘s finale, Isla Fisher, Will Arnett and Courteney Cox take the judges’ seats.

The Guest Book

TBS’s cabin-set anthology series continues this week with its eighth story, in which  Tommy (Andrew J. West) takes his girlfriend Marla (Shannon Woodward) to the mountains to help break her crystal meth habit. But it’s more than they bargained for. 

Crazy, Stupid, Love.

If you’ve been missing This is Us, you can tide yourself over with series creator Dan Fogelman’s 2011 film, Crazy, Stupid, Love. The movie follows a group of adults dealing with romantic trials, including Cal (Steve Carell) who rethinks his life after his wife (Julianne Moore) asks for a divorce.
