TV tonight: Finales for 'Twin Peaks,' 'Power'

Twin Peaks
Showtime, 8 ET/PT

The highly-anticipated return of of the early ’90s drama may have fizzled out for some fans, but David Lynch’s auteur sensibilities have remained through the long season. The revival comes to an end with back-to-back episodes tonight. The finale is shrouded in as much secrecy as the rest of the season, but hopefully it will satisfy the fans who have stuck with it though so many years.

Summer shows, including Power, are powering down as the Fall TV season arrives. The drama will bring a tense season finale when, after tragedy hits the St. Patricks, Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Tommy (Joseph Sikora) are on the hunt for revenge, and Tasha (Naturi Naughton) tries to hold their home together. Meanwhile. Angela (Lela Loren) uses her singular method to find out exactly what Ghost has been hiding.

Things aren’t great for Spencer (Dwayne Johnson) this week in the testosterone-fueled comedy. He finds himself grasping for damage control after Ricky (John David Washington) gets himself into trouble in an incident involving a high-schooler. On top of that, Spencer and Joe (Rob Corddry) are in stark disagreement with Anderson (Richard Schiff) over what the future of ASM should even be.
