TV tonight: Premieres for 'Fear the Walking Dead,' 'Outlander'

Fear the Walking Dead
AMC, 9 ET/PT

The Walking Dead will be back later this fall, but spinoff  Fear returns tonight for the second half of its third season. When we last checked in on our heroes, Nick (Frank Dillane) was forced to kill Jeremiah (Dayton Callie) to keep the family safe. The fallout reverberates around the ranch.

Outlander
Starz, 8 ET/PT

The fantasy romance returns after a 14-month hiatus (which fans referred to as the “Droughtlander”) for a third season that looks nothing like the two that came before it. Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) are stuck in different times (Claire in the 20th century, Jamie in the 18th), trying to carve out lives without each other, and maybe reunite.

Miss America Pageant
ABC, 9 ET/PT

The gowns, the swimsuits and the crown are back for the annual event, hosted by Chris Harrison and Sage Steele. Contestants from around the country compete for the 2018 Miss America title, judged by Maria Menounos, former Miss America Nina Davuluri, Thomas Rhett, Molly Simms and People editor Jess Cagle.
