After 11 years off the air, one thing about Will & Grace hasn’t changed.
The highly anticipated revival will pick up with the beloved NBC sitcom stars at different places in their lives, but one nostalgic spot remains almost untouched: Will Truman’s swanky Upper West Side digs.
“This is, for the most part, the original apartment,” says actor Eric McCormack, who plays Will, on a tour of the set with TODAY and co-star Sean Hayes (Jack).

Another classic piece that sets the stage for the group’s goofy snafus is a gloomy bit of art that appears to resemble McCormack himself.
“We have no idea,” McCormack confesses of who the man in the painting is. “But it became so iconic, people would write in about that.”
Aside from the quirky tchotchkes, the layout of the apartment will also be familiar to fans, with a few modern updates — some superfans have even created a guide to shop the look at LampsPlus — that the stylish tenant might have made over the years.

The living room boasts a new fireplace that’s “way more manly” according to McCormack. In the kitchen, new countertops and a fully functioning (much to the actors’ surprise) wine fridge spruces up the spot where McCormack feels most at home.
“This was always and still is my favorite place to be. I love being here, and I’m talking to Grace and Jack walks in the door and I make a crack and I’m doing dishes or something,” McCormak says. “I just love the feeling of being up in this space.”
